Way of StrengthWelcome! This is the virtual "home" of Dustin Rippetoe. Way of Strength is Dustin's Personal Strength Coaching identity. You will find details here about both personal training sessions with Dustin.
PhilosophyWe do not "workout..." we practice. Strength is a skill and it can be taught. A leaner, athletic, enduring body is forged for those who proceed in this manner. It is a point of pride for students to leave each session moving and feeling better. Do we train hard? YES, but through logical systematic progressions we are able to quickly reach performance goals while the highest level of safety is maintained. Although reflexive strength development is the primary performance aim and goal, functional mobility and stamina will be gained while physique goals are attained (read: fat-loss) during the journey. This reflexive strength is the body's ability to anticipate, prepare and respond to stimulus before and as it happens. Dustin is closely aligned with the global fitness organizations StrongFirst and Original Strength, and embraces their proven principles and effective methods.
Spring 2019 UpdateDustin is no longer actively taking student via this model. After his family business sale, kidney failure and MBA studies he has successfully transitioned to being a sales professional and analyst. You can find him at www.dustinrippetoe.com and/or LinkedIn.

DustinDustin was a devoted martial artist (Baguazhang Kung Fu, primarily) before stepping into the personal training and strength world. This background grants him a unique insight into human movement and coaching. He pairs this vantage point with a well developed understanding of Functional Movement Systems (FMS) related technologies as well as an growing understanding of neuro-developmental sequence and "Pressing Reset" methods of Original Strength. These vantage point allows him to pinpoint areas of concern and provide a direct targeted approach to improving fundamental movement and thus improving athletic performance.
Dustin has a long history as a kettlebell instructor. He has been devotedly training with kettlebells since 2004 and has been a certified kettlebell instructor under Pavel Tsatsouline since April of 2006. First with Pavel’s RKC and now proudly with StrongFirst. He has had the honor of serving as Team Leader in both organizations and actively promotes StrongFirst training methodologies. Notably, Dustin has been certified for over 10 years with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), and more recently as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) and has been a presenter at NSCA Oklahoma State Clinics.
